EFY News Network

Monday, November 05, 2007:  Explore the marriage rituals and join in the festivities! Get hooked and get hitched in 'The Great Indian Arranged Marriage! Games2win India Pvt Ltd has rolled out a new game 'The Great Indian Arranged Marriage – Get Married Playing Games'. The game explores some of the events surrounding marriages in India. The game is narrative right from the girl and boy talking on the phone for the first time to the wedding reception.
Each level sports a different game-play mechanic starting from the question and answers in the first level which is the phone call, level 2 is the first date level where selecting the right outfit becomes very important, level 3 is the engagement level, where a classic match helps you select the best ring for the bride, level 4 is the mehndi (heena) ceremony and is a precision mechanic where you use the mouse to apply mehndi on the brides hand.

Level 5 in the game features the sangeet (musical) ceremony -- this level sports a management mechanic which lets users to manage the stamina of all the people on the dance floor, level 6 is the actual lagan (wedding) -- the twist to this level is that you have to find the grooms shoes which are hidden in the mandap (wedding altar) and the final level is the wedding reception -- here the groom is trying to feed his bride a ladoo (sweet) but the challenge is to do it without being seen by the people around.

Interestingly, all the above game mechanics are all controlled by different movements and clicks of the mouse buttons, the game also has a very comic art and music style which consumers whether married or not will really love.

According to Alok Kejriwal, CEO and founder, Games2win.com, "Marriage is one of the most sacred Indian traditions, different religions celebrate marriage in different ways. We have carefully selected some of the most common traditions and highlighted them in this game. Games2win receives a lot of international traffic on a daily basis; hence consumers from abroad will be really intrigued by this game and will definitely have a blast playing it. Who knows someone somewhere will actually decide to get married in this way."
