Now, Games2win catches cricket fever

The cricket World Cup has taken India's cricketing fever to a new high. Games2win.com, India's online games portal, has launched a new Cricket Games section.

There's the nostalgic Book Cricket Game that all are used to playing in school. Gamers can select their teams, bat or bowl based on the toss, select the no. of overs and start playing by flipping the pages of a virtual book. The last digit of the page number depicts the runs scored or a wicket.

There is also a Cricket Overdose game, if that wasn't enough. Gamers can reach a new high by helping Cricket junkies take maximum wickets. They can chose from 3 bowlers, select the type of ball to bowl, aim the ball on the right spot, boost the ball speed with the help of a booster and bowl the batsman out! Every wicket taken adds to the score.

Gamers also have a chance to thrash the bowlers for 4s and 6s in the Super Sixers Game wherein the game is down to the wire and the gamers have to time their strokes perfectly to score maximum runs.

Alok Kejriwal, CEO, Games2win, says "Cricket is India's biggest passion! This is why we felt the need to separate Cricket from our Sports Games section. The World Cup provided us the right occasion to launch the Cricket Games section. Our Cricket Games are tailor-made for the Cricket fans in our country and will help them bring out their passion for the game."
