Leading gaming portal Games2win
has launched a talent platform called Temple of
7 for all gamers. The Temple of 7 or T7 is a
team of professional gamers who've been
exclusively signed up by Games2win to compete in
all key gaming tournaments in the country and
abroad, and compete with some of the best
national and international teams.
T7's initial team comprises
leading gamers, and the venture will strive to
showcase the country's best gaming talents by
enlisting new members. It has identified
'Counter Strike' by Valve Corporation and 'Need
for Speed' by Electronic Arts as the two most
popular online games in the country.
The initial members of the T7
in the Counter Strike category include Mikhail
Mehra (winner of World Game Masters Tournament
2006, India), Ben Verghese (winner of World
Cyber Games 2006, India), Amar Ratnam (winner of
Electronic Sports World Cup), Ritesh Shah
(winner of Kode5 2006 India), and Hasnain Sayed
(winner of Reliance Game Box 2007).
Dhruv Mody and Arun Singh Ravi
are some of the other team members from the Need
for Speed category.
Games2win.com Founder and CEO
Alok Kejriwal said, "There are talent platforms
for all kinds of professionals in the country
and given the momentum that gaming is picking
up, we believe the time is right to create a
gaming talent platform. Youth who are passionate
about gaming must have their expertise and
energy channelised into the right direction and
the Temple of 7 will help them do that. We'll
provide training, equipment, travel and board
for tournaments and also make sure our gamers
are well represented to corporates for
sponsorships and endorsements."
The T7 team have special gaming
gear and T-shirts that has been designed for
them, including a logo that's representative of
the youth culture of today.
