New Delhi, Feb 5Now, you can literally play in the stocks and have all the fun without losing a penny. For, taking a clue from the turbulence in the stock market in the last few days, online gaming companies are developing games built around the stock market.

Based on the meltdown that affected the global markets on January 21, Games2Win launched an online game called ‘Stock Market Suicide’. The game has investors jumping from the BSE building as they have lost all their wealth. On the ground it has finance minister P Chidambaram and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh trying to save them.

For its US audiences, the game features Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke and President George W Bush. The challenge is to get the saviours save maximum suicides, even as a bull representing euphoria of the markets makes random appearances and tries to hit them. The game ends with a message and tips on what to look for as an investor.

Zapak recently launched a game in which the player can invest money in various options with a varying degree of risk. After investing an initial amount, he moves ahead with the intent of earning more money by rolling a dice. The goal is to increase the player’s net worth. And just like real life, it’s ‘game over’ when the player goes bankrupt.

During this game, the player will also receive his yearly payments like dividend, interest, and, will also pay out EMI. Although in a hush-hush manner, other gaming companies have also agreed they are mulling online games on the theme of stock market.
