MUMBAI: Games2win.com (G2W) has released Gunning for Gold.

This is a game that allows users to take on the avatar of Indian Sports' most recent blue eyed boy – Abhinav Bindra. Users get a chance to 'virtually' earn their own gold medal for the country.

The 2008 Olympics, Shooting Event finals form the exciting setting of Gunning for Gold. Players get to represent India as a shooter and are up against finalists Qinan, Hakkinen. With addictive gameplay, users are quickly immersed into this game-version of the Olympic Event that won India a Gold medal at Beijing.

Players must use their mouse to aim and shoot their way through ten rounds to reach top spot - much like the real version of the 10m Air Rifle Event. The faster the user hit that bull's eye, the better is the score.

The game has been carefully and realistically built keeping in mind the real life competition that happened in the Olympics. Also, there is an introduction to Air Rifle Shooting for those who want to know more about the game.

Games2win founder and CEO Alok Kejriwal says, "Gunning for Gold is G2W's tribute to Abhinav Bindra. With his stellar performance, more and more Indians are waking up to our fantastic potential in sports apart from Cricket and are following other sporting events too. The game is an innovative way to let users experience India's Golden Olympic moment made possible by Bindra, for themselves.

" We want Indian youth to re-live the experience and magic that Abhinav went through in his moment of glory. At the same time, the highly complex and sophisticated technology of the game has been very scientifically programmed to make top score shooting a tough and demanding sport. The time taken and even the slightest hand movement impacts the player's score.

" This almost real game makes sure that players understand what it takes to win a gold medal and the effort and dedication required to win. We hope we can inspire many more Abhinav's to take up the real game after playing this electronic version."
